FREE Hard-to-Recycle Clean Sweep Event for Large TVs and Tires

El Paso County is hosting a FREE Clean Sweep Event for on Friday, April 17, 2026, at the El Paso County Household Hazardous Waste Facility (HHWF), located at 3255 Akers Dr., Colorado Springs, CO 80922.
🚨 Important: This is a drop-off-only event and is limited to large televisions and tires only. No pickup services will be provided.
âś… Accepted Items (ONLY):
- Televisions (any size)
→ Limit 5 TVs per household - Tires
→ Passenger and light truck tires ONLY (nothing larger)
→ Limit 9 tires per vehicle (no rims)
đźš— Vehicle Requirements:
Passenger vehicles, pickups, and small box trucks only
No trailers allowed due to space and safety limitations
If bringing tires, you must be able to unload them yourself (no staff assistance)
❌ Not Accepted at This Event:
Paint, chemicals, batteries, motor oil, fluorescent bulbs, or any other household hazardous waste. These items are accepted year-round at the HHWF during normal business hours.
📌 Event Guidelines:
- REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED
→ Each household must present a valid ticket (printed or digital) - One ticket and one timeslot per household
→ Duplicate registrations will be deleted - Open to El Paso County and Teller County households only
- No business, commercial, or organizational waste
(including schools, churches, nonprofits, etc.) - Drop-off only – no pickup services
- This event is on a Friday. Please mark your calendars accordingly. We are unable to accept large TVs and tires outside of event days.

I understand that should I surrender any data containing device to the El Paso County Household Hazardous Waste Facility for recycling it is solely my responsibility to protect my personal information. I further agree to defend, indemnify, and hold El Paso County harmless from and against any and all liabilities, demands, claims, damages, suits, judgments and decrees, and court awards including costs, expenses and attorneys’ fees, on account of injuries to or death of any person or persons or damage to any property or personal information arising out of or related to my willful misconduct or negligent acts, errors or omissions for the duration of my participation. I understand that the items will be accepted at the Household Hazardous Waste Collection Facility in reliance on the accuracy and truth of my foregoing declaration / affirmation.
