Held at Dassett Pottery, our high-quality modern studio is set in a peaceful rural location. Our mission is to make pottery accessible, enjoyable, and inspiring.

This Throwing Taster Workshop is ideal for anyone curious about trying the potter’s wheel — whether you're looking for a one-off creative experience or want to explore pottery before committing to a course or self-learning.

You’ll learn the fundamentals:

• Centring, opening, and pulling up the walls of a pot
• Why properly preparing your clay makes all the difference

At the end of the session, you’ll choose your favourite pot — which we’ll glaze and fire for you.

What’s included:

• 2 hours of studio time (please allow 20 minutes for clean-up)
• Unlimited clay
• Expert step-by-step tuition
• Live demonstrations
• Glazing and firing of one pot
