This November, during the week of Thanksgiving, 7 Monks GR will be teaming up with local non-profit Betterment Enterprises Inc. for our annual Friars Union membership drive!Betterment’s goal is to meet people where they are and provide the resources they need to change their circumstances for the long term, not just in the moment. There are numerous kids and adults who could change the world, but due to their current circumstances, may never have the opportunity to bring their ideas and dreams to life.
Betterment’s Hope Rising program focuses on providing support to unhoused individuals as well as low-income families in our community. During these outreach events, Betterment provides more than just the temporary relief of hot meals, clothing, and personal care items. They also ensure each person has the opportunity to speak with someone about the resources they are seeking for long term success, like housing, employment, or other support. With help from donors and sponsors, they are also able to provide other necessities through the year like free backpacks for back-to-school season, toys and costumes for holidays, shoes for high school athletes, and many other initiatives to support anyone who may be in need.
November 25 - 30, our lifetime Friars Union membership fee will drop to $100 with every dollar spent on memberships going directly to Betterment Enterprises Inc.
