The Central Valley is about to get a lot scarier this October with the grand opening of Fresno Fright Nights a brand-new immersive haunted attraction located in the heart of the San Joaquin Valley at Island Waterpark. This attraction promises to deliver intense scares immersive storytelling and Hollywood-level special effects aiming to become a premier Halloween destination in California.
Fresno Fright Nights has enlisted the expertise of legendary Halloween haunt expert Allen Hopps (Plano Texas) a Hall of Famer and Past President of The Haunted Attraction Association and owner of Stilt Beast Studios & Dark Hour Haunts. Hopps is renowned for creating unparalleled fear-inducing experiences.
This October Fresno Fright Nights will unveil four distinct experiences across a sprawling 6-acre Halloween attraction designed to push fears to their limit. The chilling journey begins with a ¼ mile-long immersive experience through Fresno Advanced Chemicals an abandoned plant where experiments went horribly wrong. Guests will then navigate Ghoul Town Trails a cemetery filled with their darkest fears before encountering the lair of the Fresno Night Crawler at Night Crawlers Pizza. The terrifying adventure concludes with a "fun little trip" through the Blood River Bayou Swamp.
Beyond the scares the Midway at Fresno Fright Nights offers a variety of entertainment for all ages. Visitors can enjoy some of the Central Valley's best food trucks 12 different creepy photo opportunities two full-service adult beverage lairs with signature drinks pumpkin creations wicked goodies and a large concert stage featuring emcees stilt walkers and night sliders.
Fresno Fright Nights is owned and operated by the Immersive Attractions Group LLC. While located at Island Waterpark it is important to note that it is not owned by the waterpark; however members of the management team will cross over from the waterpark to the haunt.
According to Managing Partner Bob Martin four waterpark industry veterans with a combined 64 years of experience have launched this business. Martin stated "After 5 years of research we are finally ready to roll out this amazing experience to the Central Valley. In the next 3 years this will grow to be one of the largest destinations on the West Coast."
A special ribbon-cutting ceremony hosted by the Fresno Chamber of Commerce is scheduled for September 27 2025. Many local leaders business owners and members of the media are expected to be in attendance.
The opening night for Fresno Fright Nights is Friday October 3 2025 with the terrifying season concluding on Saturday November 1 2025.
