FCBD® Style (formerly ATS®) helped shape many of the improvisational and fusion concepts used in belly dance today. In this 90 minute workshop, dancers from all style backgrounds and experience levels will learn fun group improvisation cues, musical interaction, and dynamic combinations that can add spontaneity and connection to their own dance style. Perfect for dancers who want to join festival jam circles, experience the joy of dancing in conversation with other dancers, improvise more confidently, or explore this influential piece of belly dance history.
Taught by Anna Nummelin, former instructor at Lotus Dance studio and current dance instructor for over 20 years. Anna currently teaches at 5 Koshas Yoga in Wausau, Wisconsin. She is the founder and director of Wild Trillium belly dance performing group, and performs at art and cultural festivals throughout Wisconsin.
