Come celebrate 20 years of Fresh Heat!
About this Event

“When we say keep it, you say freshhhhhh!”

For 20 years, the Fresh Heat Teen Open Mic has been the quintessential platform for youth poets and artists in Baton Rouge to express themselves in a safe, supportive, and creative environment. Join us on Thursday, November 19 as we celebrate the 20-year reunion of an event that has empowered youth voices in Baton Rouge and cultivated generations of talent.

For our milestone anniversary, we are inviting iprogram alumni, former partner teachers, and the larger community who have been a part of the Fresh Heat ecosystem since its inception. Whether you are from the WordPlay era, the Forward Arts era, or the Humanities Amped era, we welcome you to partake in honoring our collective legacy AND in keeping it fresh for generations to come!
