Frequency: Detroit X Toronto Exhibition Opening

Frequency Weekend is a four-day creative exchange connecting Detroit and Toronto through art, music, movement, storytelling, and community. Taking place during Movement Weekend, the series explores the frequency of culture across cities through exhibitions, conversations, rhythm, archives, and immersive experiences.

Kick off Frequency Weekend with the official exhibition opening featuring artists from Detroit and Toronto. Experience an evening of visual art, conversation, music, and community centered around creative exchange and cultural connection.

Featured artists include:

A Conversation + Rhythm Building Demonstration

This event focuses on the origins and evolution of Techno and House music in Detroit, paired with a live breakdown of how the rhythm that has moved a city for decades is built.

• Speak to the cultural roots and impact of Detroit’s Techno and House contributions
• Connect those foundations to how music shows up across genres today
