42nd Annual Frenchy’s Stone Crab Weekend 🦀
For 42 years, Frenchy’s has kicked off stone crab season with fresh claws, cold drinks, live music and one unforgettable weekend on the beach! And in 2026, we’re celebrating with an extra-special milestone: America’s 250th anniversary!
The tradition began in 1984 when Michael “Frenchy” Preston decided to offer his signature fresh stone crab claws to the public for just above cost. More than four decades later, Stone Crab Weekend has become a Clearwater Beach tradition, drawing visitors from around the world who plan their vacations around the opening of stone crab season!
This year, we’re bringing the party back to TWO locations!

Two days of live music, fresh stone crab claws, cold drinks and the legendary Frenchy’s beach-party atmosphere!
