About this Event
Chardonnay is often referred to as a "blank slate" grape, meaning that the final character of the wine is more dependent on the production in the winery than on the growing conditions of the grape. This means that there are countless different styles of Chardonnay wines out there, and it can be a bit tricky to define what style is best for you! In France, where you are defines what style of wine you make and how you make it. This means, we can track the styles of Chardonnay by the place it was made in France. In this class, we will do just that.
Join us for a casual seated wine class with our Wine Director, Erin Dudley, where we will discuss the grape Chardonnay, and what winemaking techniques can affect the flavor of the wines it makes, while tasting 6 distinct Chardonnays from around France at Bar Jo!
Included with your ticket:
- Seated wine class with certified sommelier and Neighborhood Restaurant Group Wine Director, Erin Dudley CSW
- Tasting of six fine Chardonnays!
- Small serving of artisanal cheese
