Our guest, , has spent his career at the intersection of science and company-building — from leading R&D at Amylin Pharmaceuticals, where he developed the first GLP-1 receptor agonist and the first amylin receptor agonist, to founding and leading multiple biotech companies since, including Elcelyx Therapeutics and Escient Pharmaceuticals. He'll be joined on the panel by , Co-Founder and CEO of Bloom Science, whose work spans refractory epilepsy and, more recently, obesity, for a conversation on what it actually takes to found, grow, and lead biotech companies in a rapidly evolving therapeutic landscape — with a particular lens on the metabolic disease field Alain helped pioneer.
