📝 Über das Konzert:
Am letzten Tag des Jahres 1985 beschließen einige ehemalige Studentinnen und Studenten der Musikhochschule Freiburg ein Ensemble zu gründen, das sich ganz der historisch informierten Aufführungspraxis widmet: das Freiburger Barockorchester.
Diese spontane Idee entwickelte sich zu einer einzigartigen musikalischen Erfolgsgeschichte, die mit zahlreichen Preisen belohnt wird. »Frische Impulse, hochvirtuos, spielerische Leichtigkeit, stilvolle Verzierungen, improvisatorische Elemente und ein bemerkenswerter Sinn für Dialog«, so begründet die Jury des International Classic Music Award jüngst ihre Entscheidung. Konzertmeisterin Cecilia Bernardini, »charismatische Kapitänin und sensible Dialog-Partnerin« (SWR Kultur), leitet im Wechsel mit Gründer Gottfried von der Goltz das Orchester vom Konzertmeisterpult aus. Namhafte Künstler arbeiten regelmäßig mit dem Ensemble zusammen.
Musikalisch auf große Tour geht das Freiburger Barockorchester im Januar: Unter der Leitung von Gottfried von der Goltz präsentiert das Ensemble, unterstützt von Flötistin Isabel Lehmann, Werke von Bach, Telemann u. a.

📝 About the concert:
On the last day of 1985, alumnis of the Freiburg University of Music decided to found an ensemble dedicated entirely to historically informed performance practice: the Freiburg Baroque Orchestra.
This spontaneous idea developed into a unique musical success story that was rewarded with numerous prizes.
“Fresh impulses, highly virtuosic, playful lightness, stylish ornamentation, improvisational elements and a remarkable sense of dialog,” is how the jury of the International Classic Music Award recently explained its decision. Concertmaster Cecilia Bernardini, “charismatic captain and sensitive dialog partner” (SWR Kultur), alternates with founder Gottfried von der Goltz in leading the orchestra from the concertmaster's podium. Renowned artists regularly work with the ensemble.
The Freiburg Baroque Orchestra goes on a grand musical tour in January: under the direction of Gottfried von der Goltz, the ensemble, accompanied by flautist Isabel Lehmann, presents works by Bach, Telemann and others.
