Join us for the Freemans Bay Community Centre Open Day on Saturday 18 April, from 10:00am to 2:00pm, at 52 Hepburn Street, Freemans Bay 🎉This free, family-friendly event is a celebration of our local community and a new beginning for the Freemans Bay Community Centre (FBCC) 🌿. Whether you’re a long-time local or new to the neighbourhood, come along to connect, discover, and enjoy the day at your community centre 🤝✨
What to Expect:
There will be activities and entertainment happening throughout the day, including:
🛍️ Community Garage Sale: Browse pre-loved treasures and bargains from local sellers from 10am–2pm
🎨Makers Market: Support makers offering handmade crafts, gifts, and unique creations
🍔🍰Delicious Food: Enjoy a range of food available from our food trucks outside to handmade baking
✂️🖍️Creative Workshops for Kids and Teens: Hands-on, art-based activities designed especially for young people
🎶Live Performances: Enjoy performances from local groups
Getting There:
Freemans Bay Community Centre is located at 52 Hepburn Street, just a short walk from Ponsonby Road
♿ Wheelchair Accessible: FBCC is wheelchair accessible from the front entrance
🚌 Public Transport: Several bus routes service the surrounding area. We recommend checking the AT Journey Planner for the best route.
🚲Walking & Cycling: The Centre is easily accessible by foot or bike
🚗Parking: Limited street parking is available, so walking, cycling, or public transport is encouraged. Pratt Street carpark provides parking for FBCC with approx. 20 spaces, including two disability parks! There is on-street parking available too.
