#FreedomAfterDark: Conversation, Community & Social Walk
About this Event
What does freedom look like to you?
Going for a walk to clear your head, even when it’s dark? Fitting in a run after work? Taking some time for yourself? Making plans without worrying about how you’ll get home? Or simply having someone nearby to go with?
In the lead up to 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence, join us for #Freedom After Dark, an evening for women to meet, talk and move together.
We’ll hear from experts, make space for questions and reflection, and share ideas about what would help us feel freer to enjoy our streets. Then we’ll head out for a relaxed 2km social walk, with other women.
There’ll be drinks, snacks, goodie bags and opportunities to get involved with different communities and initiatives.
You don’t need to be a runner or have a particular fitness level. There’s no pressure to share anything personal. Join the conversation, the walk or both on your own or with a friend.
