Every community has people who are carrying more than anyone knows. Quietly holding it together while wondering if anyone sees them, if anyone cares, if help is even meant for someone like them.
That's the gap. The space between needing support and knowing where to find it, or being able to afford it.
Divine Concepts Freedom exists to fill that gap. As a local 501(c)(3) nonprofit, DCFreedom provides educational mental health workshops, free support groups, and community resources to those who need them most - regardless of their ability to pay. On August 15th, we're bringing the whole community together to celebrate that mission and raise the funds that keep it going.
At Freedom, Healing & Hope Community Day:
🎁 Community Raffle - Take a chance on prizes donated by local businesses, vendors, and neighbors who believe in this cause. Bid on a Glow Up basket full of spa and self-care goodies, local experiences, gift card bundles, and don't miss the 50/50 drawing where half the pot goes home with a winner from the crowd.
📸 Photo Booth - Capture the day with props and a backdrop, because joy deserves documentation.
🎨 Kids & Adult Coloring Station - A calm corner stocked with mental health-themed coloring sheets and supplies for every age, because sometimes the simplest things help us feel okay.
❤️ The Wall of Hope - This is the heart of the day. A space where you can write a note - an affirmation for yourself, or a tribute to someone you love who has struggled with their mental health, whether they're still fighting or the fight became too much. Every note becomes part of something bigger: a visual reminder that none of us carry this alone.
🎯 Lawn Games - Cornhole and other games for the whole family to enjoy together.
🤝 Community Resource Station - Local organizations on-site offering real resources and real connection.
This event is completely free to attend. No one is turned away, and no one has to walk in with money to feel like they belong here.
