Celebrate the Winter Solstice at Riveredge! Awaken your curiosity, engage your body, and explore the beautifully restored Riveredge landscape through self-guided and educator-led activities. Get active outdoors and discover a variety of ways to enjoy nature. Drop in for whichever adventures you like! Family and kid-friendly, but adult groups welcome too!SCHEDULE OF DAY - DROP IN ANYTIME - FREE ADMISSION
– Guided Hikes 11am, 1pm, 3pm | 1 hour long
– Crafting in the Coop 2-6pm | Bring a recycled, clean glass jar to make a luminary! Extra will be available. We will also be making bird feeders and coloring mindfulness mandalas.
– Bonfire 4:30-8pm | S’mores and healthy snacks will be provided
– Winter Solstice Yoga 5-6pm | Register separately here – $15 for non-members, $10 for members: https://riveredgenaturecenter.org/event/winter-solstice-celebration-adventure-and-exploration-day-at-riveredge/
– Night Hike 6:15-7pm | No need for a flashlight or headlamp. Instead, we will let our eyes adjust to the darkness. (Educator guided hike - watch for owls!)
Note that the event is FREE, but online registration is required so we know the number of guests to staff for :)
