Free Weekly Art Studio for Youth & Families

We're pleased to offer time for the youth to express themselves artistically! There is no fees and materials will be provided at no cost!
About this Event

Hijos Del Sol Arts Productions is a long-standing nonprofit arts organization in East Salinas where youth and families come together to explore creativity, build artistic skills, and celebrate cultural identity — all at no cost. Rooted in visual and multicultural arts education, our Experimental Art Studio provides a welcoming space with professional instruction, supplies, and mentorship for children and teens to express themselves freely and grow in confidence.

Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 4:30 PM – 8:00 PM, our studio doors are open to the community for ongoing creative sessions. Participants can experiment with a wide range of media — illustration, painting, sculpture, fabrication, digital media (tablets), animation, and more! — while developing core life skills and collaborating with peers.

Whether you’re picking up a brush for the first time or honing your artistic voice, this weekly creative lab supports imagination, self-discovery, and belonging. We also prepare artwork for community exhibits and murals that celebrate heritage and amplify youth voices in Salinas.
