About this Event
Walking History Tour of the Ancient Pubs, Inns, and Brewing History of Kingston upon Thames
Starting outside The Fighting Cocks Public House at 56 old London Road, Kingston, why not join us for a FREE fun & engaging in-person stroll through the heart of Kingston upon Thames highlighting by location and anecdotes, the importance of Kingston's Brewing history.
Discover hidden stories and remarkable spots from its rich past. Perfect for history buffs or anyone looking to explore the town’s ancient charm. Did you know that in the 19th century, there were 52 pubs within 20 minutes walk of the Market Place?
It is not a strenuous walk, quite leisurely in fact.
(Hopefully, needless to say, but it is NOT a 'pub crawl' and no premises will be entered).
(The lead image is of the Old Eagle Brewery that stood alongside the Thames)
We do it once each month Sunday afternoon 2pm 'April to September'
