CYS is offering Free Viola and Double Bass Workshops to help musicians start or make the transition to either of these instruments, or to any elementary, middle, and high school students interested in trying and learning more about viola or bass. Our sessions will feature Bruce Moyer and Zachary Iscoff as our double bass instructors, and CYS's own Kati Kyme as our viola instructor. We will start with an introduction to the instrument, followed by clef reading, intonation, and robust tone production. Participants simply need to register with CYS and bring their instrument, or rent a viola or bass from one of the reputable string shops in our area.
