The City is partnering with Nevada Plants, a 501(c)3 tree planting organization, to give away 200 fruit and shade trees on Saturday, May 9. Trees are first come, first served and you must have auto-irrigation to qualify.his giveaway is part of the ongoing effort to expand tree canopy coverage in some of the hottest areas of our community while providing residents with an opportunity to plant and care for trees at their homes. Each tree comes with soil amendment, such as compost.
Residents can provide their address for each tree to be entered into GPS for an accurate map of tree coverage in the Las Vegas valley. Trees are available on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last.
