To coincide with our Pontoon Open Weekend, we are offering free guided tours around our 1940’s Steamboat VIC 56.
About this Event

Join us for our Pontoon Open Weekend on Saturday, the 6th of July, and take a free guided tour around our 1940’s Steamboat VIC 56.

You'll have the opportunity to explore this iconic vessel and learn about its history from one of our knowledgeable volunteers. This is a rare chance to experience a piece of living history, as VIC is not usually open to the public.

The guided tours are free, and all you need to do is show your booking reference to the front desk in Boathouse 4 when you arrive. The tours will last approximately 45 minutes and are limited to 8 guests per tour. The available tour times are as follows:

10:15-11:00
13:15-14:00
14:15-15:00
15:15-16:00

To ensure that you secure a spot, we recommend booking your tour in advance. However, you can also book on the day with a Visitor Host. Please arrive 10 minutes prior to your tour time and check in with a Visitor Host at the front desk in Boathouse 4.

Please take note that VIC 56 is not suitable for those with accessibility issues due to steep ladders and steps.

Additionally, during the Open Weekend, all our operational vessels will be open for visitors to step aboard. You don't need to buy a ticket to enter the Historic Dockyard site of Boathouse 4; simply ask for a Historic Quarter Pass at the Visitor Centre.
