"Taikoza is an excellent team of artists that have worked with diverse communities and ages. (Pre-K - adults). Participants are entertained with traditional music, dances, and stories of Japan and the experience deepens your understanding of traditional and contemporary culture of Japan. The group is interactive with participants by teaching Japanese words, playing drums, listening to the flutes or hearing the stories behind the traditional songs and dances presented.
They create a setting where all feel free participating and asking questions. Attendees will walk away with a deeper understanding of the Japanese culture and people. The power of the Taikoza drum, the enlightenment of the flute and the beauty of the will stay with participants for years to come after the performance.
The Together in the Arts Series are quarterly events intended to connect our community with interactive arts experiences where everyone, regardless of age or ability can participate, enjoy, learn and feel the joy of creativity. We hope you will join us!
