Free Time Jazz Quintet
About this Event
Coming from across the United States, the musicians met at the Boysie Lowery Living Jazz Residency in Wilmington, Delaware, and subsequently opened for Terri Lynne Carrington at the Clifford Brown Jazz Festival where they performed a set of original music.
The inspiration for the group's music reflects their different points of origin as well as the influence of various styles and teachers. Immediately upon meeting, the group was encouraged by their unique ensemble sound and continued to explore it as they performed in masterclasses for accomplished musicians such as Warren Wolf, Jonathan Scales, Terri Lynne Carrington, Mike Boone, Matt Scarano, and E. Shawn Qaissaunee.
