About this Event
Did you know that Cobalt Medical Charity has been supporting people across Gloucestershire, Herefordshire and Worcestershire for more than 60 years?
Founded in 1964 by Dr Fred Hanna, the charity was originally established to help patients access local radiotherapy treatment for cancer. Today, Cobalt continues to play a vital role in improving patient care through cutting-edge imaging technology, research and diagnostic services across the region and beyond.
You are warmly invited to Linton House to hear from CEO Jim Brown, Karen Hackling Searle (Director of Operations) and other members of the team as they share insights into the charity’s work, the science behind medical imaging, and the difference it makes to patients.
Topics will include:
- The work and impact of Cobalt Medical Charity
- How MRI and CT scanning work
- Advances in diagnostic imaging technology
- The growing role of AI in medical imaging
- Cobalt’s research and innovation programmes
- How charitable support helps improve patient care
There will also be plenty of opportunity to ask questions.
Places are limited and advance booking is required. Parking is available in the church car park next door. Please note that there will not be a tour of the facilities.
