Children do not have to be present to receive meals.
Proxy pickup is allowed (picking up for other children).
Families can go to any site; eligibility is by age only, not area of residency or school enrollment.
Dietary restrictions cannot be accounted for.
No registration required.
First-come first-served basis. While supplies last. Meals not guaranteed.

The team at Whitmore Lake Area Human Services (WLAHS) has coordinated with Food Gatherers and Whitmore Lake Public Schools for our local high school (7430 Whitmore Lake Rd, Whitmore Lake) to be a Meet Up and Eat Up location this summer.
WLAHS is a nonprofit organization in Whitmore Lake, primarily serving community members who are seeking food assistance through a weekly food pantry. There are no income limitations or residency requirements to receive aid from WLAHS' food pantry.

ℹ️ About Meet Up and Eat Up ℹ️
For summer 2026, the Michigan Department of Education has approved SFSP sites in rural areas to provide Non-Congregate meals, which means families can take the food home to eat.
The Whitmore Lake site follows Food Gatherers' "Grab and Go" model, where the site will distribute seven breakfasts and seven lunches once per week for each child, serving children 18 and under only. Additionally, individuals up to age 26 enrolled in a state-recognized education program are also eligible.
