Join us on this free guided sample walk to experience the camaraderie and sense of adventure that thousands of our guests have enjoyed before, and help us celebrate the last 80 years as we step into our next adventure.

This circular walk starts in the market town of Skipton, often known as the “Gateway to the Dales” and celebrated for its easy access to some of Yorkshire’s most beautiful scenery.

From the town centre, the route passes the impressive Skipton Castle before heading into the peaceful surroundings of Skipton Woods, where shaded paths and riverside sections make for a lovely stretch of the walk.

Following a mix of footpaths and quiet roads, you’ll then join the Leeds & Liverpool Canal, enjoying a flat and relaxing return along the towpath back into Skipton — a varied and enjoyable route with a great mix of history, nature, and classic Dales scenery.
