Free Screening of Molt Lluny (Away). Catalan Film Festival in DC
About this Event
Sergio travels to Utrecht with his family to attend a football game. Before catching his return flight to Barcelona, he suffers a panic attack and decides to stay in the Netherlands. Unable to offer his family a logical explanation, he cuts ties with his past.
From that moment on, he must survive without money, friends, or a home—and without speaking the language—until he is able to find himself.
The movie will be screened in Spanish with English subtitles.
Not recommended for ages 12 and younger.
This screening is the part of the series Cicle Gaudí: Catalan Cinema Worldwide, organized by the Delegation of the Government of Catalonia to the United States as part of our commitment to sharing Catalonia’s culture and creativity with the Washington community. This initiative is a collaboration with the Acadèmia del Cinema Català, with the support of the Institut Ramon Llull.
