You're invited to a free Pop-Up Art Party to learn the art of Collage on Sunday, August 9, at 12:15 p.m., immediately following the second worship service. The event will be held in the 50-50 Room on the FUMCA campus.
Open to adults, youth, and older children accompanied by an adult, this hands-on art session offers participants the opportunity to explore collage using a wide variety of papers, textures, images, and other materials. Lunch will be provided.
Collage is one of the Art Ministry's most popular annual Pop-Up Art Parties. Because every participant works from the same collection of materials while making different creative choices, no two finished pieces are ever alike. Each collage becomes a unique reflection of its creator.
As with all Pop-Up Art Parties, the emphasis is on creative exploration rather than artistic experience. There is no pressure to produce a polished work—only an opportunity to experiment, create, and enjoy the process in a welcoming environment.
Advance registration is requested to ensure adequate art supplies and lunch for everyone attending. Participants may register online, or through either Rev. Jean Sanders or the church office (318-443-5696).
