Free Outdoor Salsa Lesson and Live Salsa Music with Swing Sabroso

Calling all salsa dancers and salsa music lovers! Our biannual ‘Salsa at the Yard’ event including a free lesson with South Street Salsa and free outdoor concert with Swing Sabroso is here! Join us at The Yard on Tuesday September 16th 2025 at 6:30 PM for a fun evening of dancing and music under the stars.

Whether you're a seasoned dancer or just looking to try something new, our free salsa lesson is perfect for all levels. Learn the basic steps and moves from our experienced instructor before hitting the dance floor to the live salsa music by Swing Sabroso.

Where do I park?

Park at the Gateway Parking garage 7 Wall St, New Brunswick, NJ 08901 https://maps.app.goo.gl/rXu6EUk6YcySVCnA9 approx a 6min walk to the Yard. When you arrive look for the giant TV, we're dancing around there. Street Parking is alway available in designated zones as well

Where can I learn more about salsa lessons or take salsa lessons before the concert?

If you want to learn salsa this summer, South Street Salsa Dance Company is holding beginner and level 2 lessons at least 4 times a week across 2 locations in Milltown and Marlboro New Jersey.

Info: The Yard is a plaza with a lawn, businesses on street level and apartments above. We all usually grab dinner and relax before the night starts

Info: Kevin Toft, director of South Street Salsa and his dance company will bring everyone through the basics of salsa so everyone can dance the night away once the band takes over!

Info: We fill the plaza with music, dance and joy as Swing Sabroso treats us to an amazing collection of beloved covers and original songs!

Info: The night ends at 9 but all the restaurants are still open if you want to hangout and grab bubble tea or a late night snack before heading home.
