FREE Outdoor Dance Class

Please join us outside in front of the beautiful Kelvingrove Art Gallery for a FREE dance class as part of our GSX 2026 celebrations!
The class will be taught by Glasgow-based swing dancer, Ruaridh Clark, co-founder of Glasgow Swing Dance, and will focus on the roots of Vernacular Jazz, a style that had its original heyday in the 1920s, 30s and 40s. The class is suitable for all levels and ages, and you do not need a partner as we'll be dancing solo.
Wear comfortable clothing and shoes that are easy to move in, and we would also advise bringing a water bottle and sunscreen.
After the class, we'll have social dancing with swing dancers from Glasgow, the UK, and beyond!
**Please note this event is weather-dependent and will not go ahead in the event of rain**
