FREE OPEN TRAINING – Italian National Water Polo Teams

The Consulate General of Italy in Sydney and the Italian Cultural Institute Sydney have the pleasure of offering free admission to an exclusive open training session of the Italian Women's and Men's National Water Polo Teams, ahead of the 2026 World Aquatics Water Polo World Cup Finals in Sydney.

This is a unique opportunity to watch two of the world's leading water polo teams as they complete their final preparations before the competition begins.

Tuesday, 21 July 2026

10:00 am – 11:00 am

11:00 am – 12:00 pm

Meeting Point

Please meet outside the entrance to the Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre 09:50 for the female training OR 10:50 for the male training. Participants will then be escorted to the spectator stands beside the pool to watch the training sessions.

About the Tournament

Australian sporting fans have a rare opportunity to witness the world's best water polo players in action as part of the 2026 World Aquatics Water Polo World Cup Finals, taking place at the Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre from 22–26 July 2026.

For the first time in history, Australia is hosting both the men's and women's World Cup Finals, bringing together the world's top eight nations in each competition as preparations build towards the LA 2028 Olympic Games.

Italy will compete among the world's elite nations, with both the women's and men's teams aiming for World Cup success. This open training session offers a rare chance to experience elite international sport from close range and witness the dedication, skill and intensity of one of the world's strongest water polo nations.
