Chinatown Melbourne - Free 2-hr Chinese Lion, Dragon & kung fu extravaganza! Performed by the Chinese Masonic Society or Melbourne in partnership with the Melbourne Chinatown Business Association.The Chinatown Mid Autumn Moon Festival Performances is Melbourne's biggest and long running event for over 40 years.
Bring your kids down to watch over a dozen performances from 5:45pm to 7:30pm.
Bring your best lanterns and parade with the lions down Chinatown at the conclusion of the event.
Meet the CMS Dragon and Lion dance team, and play with the CMS kids lions for photos and fun!
5:45pm - Lion parade from the Chinese Masonic Society, 7-9 Waratah Pl, Melbourne. Follow the lions as they head up to Chinatown Square/Chinese Musuem (Cohen Pl, Melbourne)
6pm - Lion, Dragon and Kung Fu performances
7:25pm - Lantern parade with the Lions down Chinatown. Back to Chinese Masonic Society. Free meet and greet with the team and lion costumes.
Free kids lion play and photo opportunities for families.
