Free Mahjong Open Play at Cork & Rind

Come play mahjong with us -- free to attend, no pressure, just good tiles and good company.

Our Open Play sessions are free and open to anyone who knows the basics of American Mahjong. If you've taken a 101 class and played a few hands before, you're ready. We'll have tables set up, cards available, and experienced players happy to help if you get stuck.

We play evenings and weekends -- perfect for those with busy daytime schedules.

What to expect:

• Casual, relaxed play. Come solo or bring friends -- we'll make sure you have a seat and people to play with.
• Welcoming to newer players; gameplay is self‑directed (no instruction).
• Cork & Rind is open during play -- wine, cocktails, and snacks available for purchase. Try our Mini Mahj Cheese plate, made for one, perfect for a night of tiles.

Reservation required. Spots are limited. If your plans change, please cancel your registration so someone else can take your spot.

Not sure if you're ready? If you're brand new to mahjong, book a Mahjong 101 class first -- we run them regularly -- or sign up for a Guided Play 102 to refresh your skills. Once you know the basics, open play is the perfect place to practice
