About this Event

Enjoy a wonderful lunchtime concert in the stunning St Mary Abbots, a neo‑Gothic masterpiece by Sir George Gilbert Scott, built in 1872 and home to London’s tallest spire on a site with roots dating back to the 12th century.

The concert is free with a retiring collection in favour of Glass Door a charity which vision is a future where no one experiences homelessness in London offering advice, shelter and support within the community partners.

The University of Wyoming Collegiate Chorale is the premier choir of the UW Choral Program, with more than 80 years of distinguished history. The ensemble has performed at major state, regional, and national conventions, and toured widely across the US and internationally, appearing in leading concert halls and cathedrals throughout Europe and the Americas.

The Chorale frequently collaborates with the University of Wyoming Symphony Orchestra and regional orchestras, presenting major choral works such as Handel’s Messiah (2025), Orff’s Carmina Burana (2025), Mozart’s Requiem (2024), Hagenberg’s Illuminare (2023), and Brahms’s Ein Deutsches Requiem (2022).Recent commissions include Jeff Lippencott’s American Patriot Hymn (2025), Timothy Takach’s We Are Phoenix (2025), and Reginal Wright’s Imagined Corners (2025).

Brian C. Murray is Director of Choral Activities and Assistant Professor of Music at the University of Wyoming, where he oversees seven choral ensembles and the graduate choral conducting program. Under his leadership, UW Choirs have performed major works including Brahms’ Ein Deutsches Requiem (2022), Hagenberg’s Illuminare (2023), Mozart’s Requiem (2024), and Orff’s Carmina Burana (2025). In 2024, the UW Singing Statesmen were invited performers for both the Wyoming Music Educators Association and the Northwestern ACDA.

Before completing his DMA in choral conducting at the University of North Texas, Dr. Murray taught high school choir for seven years in Texas. He holds an M.M.Ed. from Florida State University and a B.M. in choral music education, summa cum laude, from UNT. He remains active at UNT each summer as associate director of the All-State Choir Camp and faculty for the Choral Conducting Symposium.

A frequent clinician, adjudicator, and guest conductor, Dr. Murray has presented at state, divisional, and international conferences and has led engagements across 15 U.S. states as well as in Canada, the Czech Republic, and South Korea..
