Today's Mayfair Organ Concert is part of the annual John Hill-Catherine Ennis Organ Series which aims to showcase and give performance opportunities to talented young organists, today featuring Daniel Carroll (Curtis Institute, Philadelphia).

Daniel Carroll is a second-year student at the Curtis Institute of Music where he holds the William S. Mulherin and Joseph F. Baker Fellowship. He studies repertoire with Alan Morrison and improvisation with Jeffrey Brillhart. He previously studied with Daniel Aune of the Peabody Conservatory in Baltimore, Maryland, and both David Lang and Michael Galdo of Northern Virginia. In the summer of 2024, he studied in France with Thierry Escaich and Philippe Lefebvre pursuing his passion for French repertoire and improvisation. Daniel won first prize in the 2025 Taylor National organ competition in Atlanta, Georgia. He has performed at many notable venues including Eglise de la Madeleine, Paris; the Wanamaker Organ, Philadelphia; St. Peter’s Church and St. Matthew’s Cathedral, Washington DC; among others. He was a semifinalist in the 2025 St. Albans International Improvisation competition and performed at St. Albans Cathedral, St Peter’s Church in St Albans, and the Royal Academy of Music in London. Daniel is now the Organ Scholar at Bryn Mawr Presbyterian Church under the direction of James Kealey.
