Andres Yauri was born in Venezuela and studied at the Simón Bolívar Conservatoire and the Royal Northern College of Music. In 2016 Andres won the Gold Medal Competition, the RNCM’s most prestigious cross-school prize for exceptional soloists. The following year saw him perform at Wigmore Hall, as well as giving the world premiere of Stephen Hough’s Bridgewater (Romantic Idyll) for bassoon and string orchestra. Andres currently works with various leading UK orchestras, including the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, BBC Philharmonic, City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, Ulster Orchestra and Chineke! Orchestra, amongst others, in diverse roles including as soloist.
Giulia Contaldo came to international attention when she stepped in at short notice to play Schumann’s Piano Concerto with the BBC Philharmonic conducted by Omer Meir Wellbar at Manchester's Bridgewater Hall, live broadcast by BBC Radio 3 ("a dashing account" – The Guardian). A graduate of the Royal Northern College of Music, Giulia has won top prizes at numerous international competitions and has performed as soloist with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra and the Manchester Camerata.
