Free Love Food Waste Workshop Celebrating Matariki – Titirangi
We will be learning about each whetu (star) and āna tohu mō te taiao (their signs for the enviornment); reflecting te matauranga o te kai (the knowledge of food) we have learned from our tūpuna (ancestors). Practical advice about how to be creative with your fresh food and leftovers will be given, to help them last longer. Making the most of the food we have helps save money and is better for the environment. We will play a few games and sing waiata together to consolidate our learning.
This is a hands-on activity. Please bring your chopping board, knife and your taste buds along.
Please inform [email protected] if any food allergies need to be accommodated.
Spaces are limited so booking essential: Register this workshop today to celebrate Te Tau Hou Māori (the Māori New Year) with us.
