The Camden & Amboy Railroad was the first railroad in the US to use a steam locomotive, the John Bull. Beginning in 1831, the C & R provided faster transportation between New York and Philadelphia and helped shape the communities along its route, including East Brunswick. Pierre Lacombe of the West Jersey Chapter of the National Railway Historical Society will present this free lecture at the historic LJ Smith Farm House, home of the East Brunswick Historical Society.
