About this Event

Cotswold Pasture recovery is an ambitous farm-led project to not just restore species-rich grassland, but integrate biodiversity into the whole farm system. Farming in protected landscapes has funded a baseline study which has involved taking samples of flying insects. This citizen science event is to sort those samples into morphological species under the guidance of Evidence Nature to co-collect vital baseline evidence. No previous expereince necessary. You will be willing to sort dead insect specimens preserved in alcohol under a microscope, group them according to their different body-types and record the data on a sheet. Full supervison given and excellent opportunity to learn about insects. 12 places available. Start time 1000, end 1500. Bring lunch.
