Carnegie-Stout Public Library will show the locally produced horror movie "Are You Dead Yet?" on Thursday, April 17, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. in the Aigler Auditorium on the Library's 3rd Floor. Admission is free, but seating is first come, first served.
The horror movie "Are You Dead Yet?" (2024) follows a group of thrill seekers who fight to survive in the woods against a maniac with a mallet and a taste for blood. The movie was written and directed by Jayme Schmitt, and was produced and filmed in Dubuque. The ensemble cast includes Mary Beecher, Sasha Benton, Kyrstin Duve, Dusty Meier, Arsenic Nic, Jonathan Stone, and Kati Tori.
This 1 hour 40 minute movie is not rated, but it is intended for adult audiences. It contains bloody violence and terror, disturbing images, strong language, and sexual content.
