Free Hernia Screening with John Kogoy, MD and Marco Chavarria, MD
UNC Health Pardee is pleased to offer a free hernia screening. If you have the following symptoms, you may be experiencing a hernia:
- Bulges in abdomen or groin area, which may be more noticeable when standing or straining
- Pain or discomfort, especially when lifting, bending, or coughing
- Feeling of heaviness
During the screening, you can expect a physical exam and discussion of your symptoms and history. We recommend wearing comfortable, loose-fitting clothes.
Pre-registration is preferred to secure your spot.

Walk-ins will be welcome if time allows.
