🚶♀️🌿 FREE Health Walk – Join our Move More Officer from Action Together on Wednesday 11th March for a FREE Health Walk, meeting at Chadderton Wellbeing Centre.
This guided walk will explore the newly completed Chadderton Active Travel Improvements Scheme, part of the Bee Network vision for safer, greener journeys across Greater Manchester.

The new walking and cycling routes now create a safe, continuous connection between the Freehold tram stop, local schools and surrounding neighbourhoods — making it easier than ever to travel actively.
With enhanced crossings, improved pathways and clearer signage, everyday journeys like school runs and commutes can now be made confidently on foot or by bike.
🚲 Healthier, greener journeys
The scheme links Broadway, Lydia Becker Way and Foxdenton Park — creating a 15-minute walk or 10-minute cycle through Chadderton’s growing green corridor.
These improvements support local sustainability goals while promoting healthier lifestyles and safer access to public transport.
🌿 Part of a bigger vision
Delivered by Transport for Greater Manchester in partnership with Oldham Council, the scheme also complements wider regeneration plans in the Broadway Green area, enhancing biodiversity and public green space.
