This August, we’ve invited a series of experts to step out of their comfort zone and into the Gallery to respond to works in our National Collection. With leading practitioners in the fields of poetry, journalism and astrophysics, our special guests will look through the lenses of their respective professions to explore the Collection and offer the insight of a new perspective.
Meet us at the intersection of art and science as First Nations astrophysicist and Cultural Astronomer Peter Swanton, Gamilaraay/Yuwaalaraay people, investigates the interconnectedness between contemporary science, visual art and the world’s oldest living continuous Culture.
Join Peter for this exclusive National Science Week conversation as he responds to works of art in the National Collection as well as those featured in Ngura Puḻka – Epic Country and examines the links between art, the universe and everything in it.
