Call your friends and bring the family, admission is FREE to everyone at the Seattle Art Museum on the first Thursday of every month.In addition to our regular hours, Seattle Art Museum will be open for Free First Thursday evenings from 5–8 pm to provide more opportunities to visit the galleries for free! Evening hours will feature extra activities like live music, drop-in art making, and in-gallery experiences for visitors.
Tickets are available both onsite and online.
11:30 am, 1:30 pm, 6 pm | Public Tour: Highlights from SAM’s Collection
These 60-minute tours meet at the top of the 3rd floor escalators.
5-8 pm | Art Activity with A Resting Place

Samantha Yun Wall: What We Leave Behind invites us to reflect on loss and remembrance. Respond to prompts that encourage connection, collaboration, and healing. A Resting Place (ARP) is a grief & loss cultural resource center located in Seattle’s Chinatown International District.
5-8 pm | Darrius Willrich and Band
Brotman Forum
Join us for a jazz/R&B performance from Darrius Willrich. Darrius is a singer, songwriter, pianist, and educator from Seattle, WA. He is currently the keyboard player for Digable Planets. He is a featured vocalist on Wiz Khalifa’s “Rolling Papers 2” and produced South African rapper Nasty C’s song Overpriced Steak along with Jake One and Sam Wish.
5-8 pm | Drop-In Build-a-Beast Printmaking Workshop with Brian Lane

Use pre-cut printing blocks to create your own creature inspired by A Room for Animal Intelligence on the 4th floor. What story will your imaginary animal tell?
