The Lenexa Fire Department is hosting free First-Aid training classes to help community members gain lifesaving skills and confidence in emergency situations. Participants will learn how to recognize the signs and symptoms of common life-threatening medical emergencies, including allergic reactions, heart attacks, strokes, seizures, and diabetic emergencies.
The certification course also covers how to respond to injury-related emergencies such as severe bleeding, broken bones and sprains, burns, and head or spinal injuries.
These hands-on classes are a valuable opportunity for residents to prepare themselves to help family, friends, coworkers, and neighbors when every second counts.
Led by Lenexa Master Firefighter Sean Russell, this course is perfect for beginners and anyone looking to refresh their skills. No prior experience is required β just bring your willingness to learn and be prepared to make a difference.
