Free Fandango at the Wall Screening in East Harlem

Join us for a special free screening of Fandango at the Wall, an award-winning documentary celebrating the power of music to unite across borders.

The film follows Arturo O’Farrill, founder of the Afro-Latin Jazz Orchestra, and Grammy-winning producer Kabir Sehgal as they journey through Veracruz, Mexico, exploring the roots of son jarocho, a 300-year-old tradition blending Indigenous, Spanish, and African influences. Their travels culminate at the U.S.-Mexico border for the annual Fandango Fronterizo, a music and dance festival bringing communities together across divides.

From Executive Producers Quincy Jones, Carlos Santana, and Andrew Young, this documentary is both a moving cultural exploration and a joyful concert experience.
