It’s time to clean up, Muskogee! Join the City of Muskogee on Friday, October 10, from 9:00 AM–3:00 PM for Free Dump Day, Brush & Limb Disposal, and the Household Pollutant Collection Event.
⚠️ PLEASE NOTE: There are THREE separate drop-off locations. Different materials must be taken to the appropriate location, so please sort your load before you leave home.
🗑️ FREE DUMP DAY — LANDFILL
📍 2801 S. 54th St. W.
⏰ 9:00 AM–3:00 PM
Bring household trash, furniture, and accepted bulky household items to the landfill.
🚚 Load Limit: Each eligible household is limited to one trip with one pickup load and/or one trailer up to 16 feet long.
🚫 Please do not take household chemicals, hazardous materials, electronics, tires, brush, or limbs to the landfill. These items have designated locations listed below.

📍 40th & Denver St.
⏰ 9:00 AM–3:00 PM
Bring your brush and limbs to the designated Brush & Limb Disposal site at Hatbox Field.
✅ Brush & limbs only
🚫 No stumps/tree trunks
🚫 No household trash
♻️ HOUSEHOLD POLLUTANT COLLECTION — MATERIAL YARD
📍 1503 S. Cherokee St.
⏰ 9:00 AM–3:00 PM
Residents can safely dispose of eligible household pollutants, including:
Motor oil • Antifreeze • Brake fluid • Gasoline • Oil-based paint • Solvents • Thinners • Pesticides • W**d killers • Yard-care products • Poisons • Household cleaners • Drain openers • Aerosols • Fluorescent bulbs • Acids • Glue • Electronics • Tires & more
💻 ELECTRONICS: Up to 3 computers and 3 TVs per household.
💡 FLUORESCENT BULBS: Limit 3 per household.
🚗 TIRES: Up to 25 tires per household. Passenger car, pickup, and large truck tires are accepted.
No tractor tires, tires from tire dealers, or tires on metal rims.
💊 PHARMACEUTICALS & SHARPS: The Muskogee Police Department, Neighbors Building Neighborhoods and the Muskogee County Sheriff's Department will be accepting pharmaceuticals and sharps in containers at the Material Yard during the event.
🚫 No liquid pharmaceuticals will be accepted.
The following items cannot be accepted:
Pressurized gas cylinders • Ammunition • Fire extinguishers • Explosives • Unknown chemicals • School laboratory chemicals
🎨 LATEX PAINT: Latex paint is not accepted at the Household Pollutant Collection Event. To dispose of latex paint, allow it to solidify by air-drying and then place it with your curbside trash.
🪪 WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING?
This event is for eligible City of Muskogee residential customers only.
Please bring:
✅ Valid driver's license/ID
✅ Current City of Muskogee water bill
A paper or digital copy of the water bill may be used.
🏠 RENTERS: If you rent and the City water bill is in your landlord’s name, please bring a copy of the City of Muskogee water bill along with a letter from your landlord confirming that the utility service is in their name.
🚫 No commercial or agricultural waste will be accepted.
