Discover Lockhart State Park with ASL interpreters! Registration required.
Lockhart State Park is hosting a special day of programs for the deaf and hard-of-hearing community on September 26. Join us to learn about the amazing lives of butterflies, search for butterflies in the woods, and make butterfly crafts! All ages welcome. Registration required.
Event Schedule:
9am - 10am: Butterfly Hike. Learn about local butterflies as we search for some along the trail! This hike meets at the Creekview Trailhead and is 3/4-mile long on moderate terrain. Please dress for the weather, wear sturdy shoes, and bring water.
10:30am - 11:30am: Butterfly Crafts. Join us to create butterfly-inspired crafts! This program meets in the picnic area, which is just past our park pool on your right-hand side.
