Join us for an unforgettable evening of vibrant culture, music, and storytelling in the heart of historic San Elizario!
On Saturday, August 22, 2026, we are proud to present "El Tormento de Pablo"—a free, open-air theatrical play performed directly in front of the historic Los Portales Museum.
This dramatic retelling of the classic La Llorona legend explores the haunting tale through her husband's perspective, seamlessly weaving together Aztec and Mexican heritage through dynamic dance, traditional music, and powerful drama.
🌹 Event Highlights
- 50+ Catrinas: Experience a breathtaking procession of 50 to 60 Catrinas filling the Placita!
- Mercadito & Food Vendors: Shop local crafts and enjoy food starting at 5:00 PM.
- Aztec & Folklórico Performances: Live ceremonial dances and music leading up to the main performance.
- Dress the Part: We invite all attendees to wear their favorite traditional Mexican attire to celebrate the evening in full color and spirit!
