Westchester Harmony is an a cappella chorus, singing in four-part close harmony in
the style known as "barbershop". We are a chapter of The Society for Preservation and
Encouragement of Barbershop Quartet Singing in America (SPEBSQSA), otherwise
known as the Barbershop Harmony Society. Our mission is to spread the joy of singing.
Since our founding in 1953, the chorus has served our community through song. Our
success and achievement derive from our openness. We welcome any member of the
community to our rehearsals, and our membership derives from the community. Our
ages range from mid-20’s to 99; singers of any faith, race, gender or nationality are
welcome to join. We are joined in song and dedicated to our craft.
Our performances have been held in a wide variety of venues in Westchester
County, as well as in China, Great Britain, Russia, Italy, Lincoln Center, Yankee Stadium
and the White House.
