As a fiddler, Jason Carter has been featured on albums by Steve Earle, Ricky Skaggs, Dierks Bentley, Charlie Daniels, Vince Gill, Asleep at the Wheel, and many more, all in addition to his tireless touring and recording with Del as well as the Travelin’ McCourys. On Carter’s forthcoming solo album, Lowdown Hoedown, listeners may recognize instrumental contributions from such legends as Jerry Douglas or Sam Bush alongside vocals from young trailblazers like Sarah Jarosz or Billy Strings. This time, though, Carter is singing lead.

The Shenandoah Valley Children's Choir (SVCC) is one of the region's premier choral music education programs, providing an inspiring and accelerated learning environment for more than 170 children and youth, ages 5-18 who share a passion for singing. Through four auditioned performing choirs and two early elementary music classes, students receive exceptional training in vocal technique, musicianship, music theory, sight-singing, score study, diction, and expressive performance, all grounded in the renowned Kodály approach to music education.
Recognized for its musical excellence, SVCC has performed throughout the United States and internationally, providing young musicians with unforgettable opportunities to collaborate, learn, and serve as cultural ambassadors through music. The choir's inspiring performances have also reached audiences around the world through widely viewed YouTube videos, introducing thousands of listeners to the artistry and joy of the program.
Based in Harrisonburg, Virginia, the Shenandoah Valley Children's Choir welcomes students from across the Shenandoah Valley—from Winchester to Lexington and beyond—and is dedicated to developing confident musicians, compassionate leaders, and lifelong lovers of choral music.
